How to Get the Most Out of Your Facial
A good facial does two things. It gives your skin a proper deep clean and treatment it is hard to match at home, and it gives you an hour to slow down and switch off. Both matter, and a few small habits either side of your appointment make the results go further.
Start before you arrive. If you can, come with clean skin, though it is fine to turn up in makeup because we cleanse first anyway. In the two or three days beforehand, ease off strong exfoliants and retinol so your skin is calm and not already sensitised. If you have been in the sun or reacted to a new product, tell us on the day so we can adjust.
During the treatment, the most useful thing you can do is talk to us at the start. Tell us what your skin has been doing lately, whether it feels tight, oily, or blotchy, and what you would love to see change. That short conversation is what lets us tailor the products and steps to you rather than run a one size fits all routine.
Afterwards, keep it simple. Your skin has just been cleansed, exfoliated, and fed, so it does not need much. Drink water, leave heavy makeup off for the day, and avoid the gym, sauna, and direct sun for a few hours while everything settles. A little pinkness is normal after some treatments and fades quickly.
The last piece is rhythm. Skin renews on roughly a four to six week cycle, so booking in that window keeps you on top of any concern rather than starting from scratch each time. You do not need a rigid plan. Even a regular seasonal facial makes a visible difference, and your skin will tell you when it is ready for the next one.
